Drone Flight for Capturing Pavement Defection
Imagine a drone soaring high above, basking in the sunlight, with the mission of detecting pavement distresses! That’s exactly what we’ve been up to at the University of Waterloo.
Joined by my supervisor, Prof Tavassoti, our trusty technician Mark, and Shivam, we’ve launched a project using quadcopter drones for pavement distress detection.
Our first flight was nothing short of spectacular. As our drone hummed to life and began its ascent, it felt like a blend of science fiction and reality. It wasn’t just about the data we were collecting, but also about enjoying the view from an entirely new perspective.
Here’s to more exciting flights, sunlit images, and of course, innovative pavement solutions!
