Course Project - Blockchain for Secure Enterprise Transactions
Course Project Showcase: Leveraging Blockchain for Secure Enterprise Transactions
As part of the recent COMP4125 course, we undertook a project exploring the potential of blockchain technology in enhancing enterprise transaction security. This project, a fusion of theoretical understanding and practical application, resulted in a novel approach to securing transactions and a demonstrative application that showcases its efficacy.
About the Project:
Titled “Combining Blockchain and Metaverse Technologies to Enhance Enterprise Resource Planning Systems,” our project addressed challenges faced by Small and Medium-sized Businesses (SMBs) in inventory management, specifically data accuracy and decision-making based on this data.
Our solution is rooted in the integration of blockchain technology, specifically leveraging a HT chain. We developed an approach where real transactions are conducted, which are then permanently recorded or “burned” onto the chain. This use of blockchain technology ensures data integrity and transparency, significantly reducing the possibility of erroneous data leading to faulty business decisions.
Additionally, we incorporated metaverse technologies, such as VR/AR, to provide an immersive and real-time visualization of inventory management and supply chain operations. This not only improves operational efficiency but also allows for a more intuitive understanding of the system’s state.
The project culminated in a practical demo that illustrates our solution. This experience of transforming a conceptual understanding of blockchain into a tangible application has been immensely rewarding. It stands as a testament to the transformative potential of blockchain technology in enterprise contexts.
